You have been set free from sin. God has made you his slaves. The benefit you gain leads to holy living. And the end result is eternal life.
(Romans 6:22, NIrV)
Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition that causes intense shifts in mood, energy, and activity levels. Imagine waking up one day filled with energy, creativity, confidence, and a sense that everything is not only possible but urgent — your thoughts race, you may talk quickly, sleep less, and feel unstoppable. This is mania or hypomania. But that high doesn't last. It can quickly swing into a dark and heavy depression, where even getting out of bed feels impossible, where hope feels distant and emotions feel numb or painfully raw. These changes aren't just mood swings like most people feel — they're deep, overwhelming, and disruptive. Relationships strain. Work can become hard to keep. And often, the person experiencing it doesn't feel fully in control. Even with awareness, treatment, and effort, these mood cycles can return, often unexpectedly. For many, it's a lifelong battle that requires a lot of resilience. It's not simply “being moody” or “emotional” — it's a medical condition affecting the brain's chemistry. People with bipolar disorder often feel isolated or misunderstood. But with support, medication, faith, and love, many live stable, meaningful lives. If you know someone with bipolar, patience, listening, and compassion mean more than you can imagine. They're not broken — they're fighting a hard and invisible battle.
