Renewing the Spirit, Mind, and Inner Man

1. Daily Fellowship with God

Application: Make daily time to connect with God, allowing His Spirit to refresh and strengthen you.

2. Meditation on God's Word

Scripture: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." (Romans 12:2)

Application: Study, meditate, and memorize Scripture to replace worldly thoughts with godly ones.

3. Relying on the Holy Spirit

Application: Invite the Holy Spirit to work in your heart, surrendering areas of struggle or sin.

4. Confession and Repentance

Scripture: "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." (Psalm 51:10)

Application: Regularly confess sins and ask God for a renewed heart and mind.

5. Worship and Thanksgiving

6. Fixing Your Eyes on Eternal Things

7. Fellowship with Other Believers

Application: Join a Bible study group or build relationships with believers who inspire and uplift you.

Three Examples Of Renewing Thoughts

1. Focus on Material Wealth

Worldly Thinking: "I need to accumulate wealth to be successful and happy."

Biblical Perspective: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven..." — Matthew 6:19-20

Think Instead: Seek eternal riches by living righteously, serving others, and prioritizing God's kingdom.

2. Seek Revenge or Hold Grudges

Worldly Thinking: "I can’t let them get away with what they did to me."

Biblical Perspective: "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord." — Romans 12:19

Think Instead: Forgive others and trust God to bring justice in His timing.

3. Worry About the Future

Worldly Thinking: "I have to control everything to secure my future."

Biblical Perspective: "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." — Matthew 6:34

Think Instead: Trust God for daily provision and guidance, living one day at a time with faith.
